Secure Biometric Identity for Trusted Electoral Processes

Reliable voter identity is fundamental to secure and transparent elections. Election authorities need to accurately register eligible voters, prevent duplicate or fraudulent registrations, manage voter records, and verify identities efficiently at polling locations.

Miaxis provides end-to-end biometric solutions for voter registration and election identity management, combining fingerprint, face, and iris recognition with voter management software and biometric hardware. From enrollment and identity verification to voter database management and polling station authentication, Miaxis helps election authorities build secure, scalable, and efficient electoral identity systems. Miaxis eBioPass VRS is designed for national and regional elections, supporting biometric voter enrollment, verification, and deduplication.

The Challenge

• Preventing Duplicate and Fraudulent Registration

• Managing Large-Scale Voter Data

• Reliable Identity Verification at Polling Stations

• Maintaining Security and Accountability

Our Solution

Biometric Voter Enrollment

The VRS workflow supports applicant registration, biometric capture, record review, and conversion of approved applicants into registered voters.

Capture voter demographic information together with biometric data including:

Fingerprints/Face photographs/Iris/Signature

Voter Identity & Database Integrity

Miaxis VRS supports voter lifecycle management from enrollment and biometric capture through verification and deduplication, helping maintain accurate voter records and reduce duplicate or fraudulent registrations.

Polling Station Verification

Voter identity can be retrieved using a Voter Number, including manual input or QR scanning, and verified using fingerprint, face, or iris biometrics.

This enables election authorities to strengthen identity assurance at polling locations while reducing reliance on physical credentials alone.

Election Administration & Management

The system supports configurable election operations including:

(These capabilities allow election authorities to manage registration infrastructure and voter information through a unified platform)

• Election date management

• Province, city, district and precinct management

• Polling center management

• Voter record and precinct changes

• Device management and device blacklisting

• Applicant and voter statistics

• Data export and backup

• Operation and login logs

How It Works

01 Pre-Registration

Collect preliminary voter information before on-site registration.

02 Biometric Enrollment

Capture demographic information together with fingerprint, face, iris, and signature data.

03 Review & Identity Assurance

Review applicant records and use biometric verification and deduplication to support accurate voter registration.

04 Voter Registration

Approved applicants are converted into registered voter records and assigned to the appropriate electoral area.

05 Polling Verification

Retrieve the voter record and confirm identity using fingerprint, face, or iris biometrics.

06 Reporting & Audit

Monitor voter statistics, election data, devices, and system operation records.
